The Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy (NLP) Certificate proudly celebrated its 2025 - 2026 scholarship recipients. The Certificate had seven students earn scholarships for the upcoming summer and school year. Three students earned the Philanthropy Studies Scholarship while four students earned Internship Scholarship for the summer.
The three students who were awarded the Philanthropy Studies scholarships included Kallie Dean, Hailey Gojkovich, and Sydney Libert. The four students who earned Internship scholarships included Dania Green, Azam Randhawa, Hailey Gojkovich, and Ashlynee Nash.

Kallie Dean is a current junior who is pursuing a degree in Entrepreneurial Management with a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She is currently a Development Assistant at Freedom of Youth where she has gained skills in fundraising, donor relations, grant writing, and more. After graduating, she plans to continue her work with Freedom of Youth.

Hailey Gojkovich is a sophomore pursuing a degree in Marketing and Management with a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She earned two scholarships this year with the Philanthropy Studies and Internship scholarship. She is a member of Chi Omega Psi Beta on campus and will be the Marketing and Communications Intern over the summer. Following graduation, she plans to work for a nonprofit organization and join nonprofit boards to give back to the community.

Sydney Libert is a junior pursuing a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, a minor in Social Justice, and a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She has interned for organizations including Beyond Hunger and the Chicago Area Alternative Education League. After graduation, she aspires to build a successful career in a communications or fundraising role at a nonprofit.

Dania Green is a junior pursuing a degree in Art with a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She earned an Internship scholarship for the 2025 summer. Dania plans to intern with Azubuike African American Council for the Arts where she will provide support for the Executive Director and supporting the Pulling Focus Film Festival.

Azam Randhawa is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance with a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. He earned an Internship for the 2025 summer. Azam plans to intern with Aegon Asset Management as a Real Assets Equity Intern where he will manage real estate.

Ashlynne Nash is a freshman pursuing a degree in English and Secondary Education with a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She earned an Internship scholarship for the 2025 summer. Ashlynne plans to intern with The Iowa Youth Writing Project as a Programming Intern. She will prepare lessons for volunteers, organize a fundraiser, and provide content for the 1 Book 2 Book Festival.
