Three Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy (NLP) students earned the Philanthropy Studies Scholarship for the 2024 - 2025 school year. This year's recipients were Catharine Beerman, Hannah Michaelsen, and Noelle Franzone. The Philanthropy Studies Scholarships is awarded to students in the NLP Certificate who are exemplify a commitment to community engagement and nonprofit service.

Catharine Beerman is a junior pursuing a degree in Radiation Sciences with a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She is also a member of the Zeta Tau Alphas sorority at the University of Iowa. Catharine plans to work in the medical field as an ultrasound technician while also supporting medical non-profits.

Hannah Michaelsen is a senior pursuing a degree in Finance with certificates in International Business and Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She's had internships with the Muscatine Community Foundation, University of Iowa Center of Advancement, and has also been on a service trip to Costa Rica. Hannah's dream is to work for an international nonprofit and run a regional program that combats local issues.

Noelle Franzone is a senior pursuing a double major in English and Creative Writing and Linguistics and a certificate in Nonprofit Leadership and Philanthropy. She was one of the founders and Executive Editor or the campus literary magazine snapshots, which is a magazine for children. Noelle's goal is to lead children's programming in a public library.
